Bruno Mars has been added to the Brits 2014 line-up.

The Locked Out Of Heaven singer will be joined by Rudimental and Bastille on the bill, who will both perform at the ceremony for the first time.

It has already been announced that Arctic Monkeys and Katy Perry will perform at the awards show.

The Brit Awards 2014 will take place at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday 19 February. Hat designer Philip Treacy has created the winners’ trophy.

Bruno Mars was the winner of last year’s international male solo artist prize and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.

The Hawaiian singer has had seven UK top 10 singles and was named Billboard Magazine’s artist of the year.

British acts Rudimental and Bastille have both seen their debut albums charting at number one with Rudimental’s first album Home also being nominated for this year’s Mercury Prize.

Bastille’s Bad Blood is the biggest-selling debut album of this year so far.

Rudimental said: “We went to the event for the very first time this year when we were nominated for best single for Feel The Love.

“We didn’t win but it was such an amazing night celebrating the best of British music.

“So to actually be a part of the event this time round is the icing on the cake after such an incredible year too. We are definitely going to bring the party vibe.”

The group have also been named on the line-up for this year’s nomination party on 9 January.

Pixie Lott, Tinie Tempah and the winner of the 2014 Brits Critics’ Choice award Sam Smith will also perform at the nomination event.
